Here is the course outline:

1. 1 - Types of Entrepreneurs

from Course 1: Cultivating the Entrepreneurial Mindset — Starting with the "Preneur Cycle" this Module will teach you about the types of entrepreneurial paths you can take as well as the Cash Flow Quadrant. You will also learn the 15 characteristics that make for effective entrepreneurship.

2. 2 - Lean Startup Methodology

from Course 2: Components of Business Success — So you have a fantastic idea for a business, but you don't really know A) if it's viable as an income generator, or B) how to get the product or service to market. That is where The Lean Start Up Methodology steps in. In this module you will learn how to build your company and launch your products quicker and more in line with customer needs. You will learn how to eliminate long development times and large amounts of funding to launch your company. A principled approach to new product development, this methodology will teach you how to drive your start-up, how to steer it, when to turn it, and when to persevere and grow your new business with maximum acceleration.

3. 3 - Marketing and Advertising

from Course 2: Components of Business Success — A practicum on how people recognize your new brand, this module will provide you with a basic overview of the elements of marketing. We begin by helping you to understand how important the choice of color is for your logo. There is a psychological impact to every color in the spectrum, so when creating your logo it is imperative that you choose wisely being that your logo is the core of your Brand! We will also explore the different types of online and off-line marketing available to you as a small business owner from Social Media to Email to Direct Mail. Types of Advertising such as Broadcast Media, Print Media, Support Media, and Product Placement will also be touched upon to give you a broad knowledge base of what's available to you as an entrepreneur.

4. 4 - Elevator Pitch

from Course 3: Business Communications — Module #4 starts out with a bang by showing you exactly how to craft that Simple, Memorable, and Convincing elevator pitch so that you can capture the imagination of that perfect investor, or perhaps the business partner you need to make your business grow. You will learn the seven steps needed to build a winning pitch and if you already have one, methods to improve it considerably. You'll discover what the "High Five" Elevator Pitch is and how to use it effectively for your needs. Through the viewing of a one minute video, you'll see and hear what a real winning elevator pitch looks and sounds like. We've even thrown in a segment on how to pitch ANYTHING in 15 seconds through Message Mapping. Finally, you'll also receive sample templates from which you can choose, of successful start-up elevator pitches that you can mold into something that feels comfortable for you.

5. 5 - The Art of Selling and Negotiating

from Course 3: Business Communications — There is no question that negotiation skills are an important part of doing business. In today’s hyper-connected and increasingly competitive market, the ability to negotiate effectively is more highly valued than ever before. While the ability to negotiate is certainly an important part of boardroom meetings and hammering out contracts, the benefits actually extend far beyond those better-known applications. Negotiation is nothing more than sales - which is an essential skill every entrepreneur must develop and possess. In this module you will learn the correct structure and goal of a negotiation as well as the four steps one must take in order to acquire a favorable outcome. You will learn the two types of negotiation and how they sometimes overlap. As women entrepreneurs, we tend to have different skills from men, therefore a study of women's unique opportunities and challenges faced in the negotiation process will be examined. As stated previously, the ability to sell is key to winning at a negotiation, so you will learn the seven secrets to improving your skills, you will be able to watch a demonstration of a true negotiation by reading case studies on real life corporate negotiations, and lastly, you will be given an opportunity for real world application within your daily life to fully develop your skills.

6. 6 - Personal Finance Overview

from Course 4: Personal Finance Management — Starting with a definition of Personal Finance, to breaking it down into bite sized pieces of information, this 4 hour module begins with a robust overview to encourage and show you how to start the process of making and managing your money so that you can begin your journey of creating personal wealth. Specifically you will learn the 10 rules of making money and you'll discover your current attitude about money so that you can then learn to make a budget that works for you. We have designed this course from the perspective of someone over 40, thus in this module we give you tips and rules you can follow for your financial life from that perspective wherein you learn the best moves you can make in you 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond. We've even dedicated sections of this module to show you how to bounce back after a financial disaster because life can throw us curve balls! You will learn the steps you need to take to get out of debt and jump start your savings fund or even start over again after 40. Lastly we will touch on the basics of financial planning for your future and how economics play into your financial life. 7. 7 - Types of Corporations

from Course 5: Introduction to Business Law — Beginning with a comprehensive definition and overview of the principles of business law, you will learn exactly what sole proprietorships, corporations, partnerships, and limited liability corporations are and how each legal structure can be beneficial dependent upon your own personal circumstance. Case study work will feature 20 classic business situations that can affect any business. Because legal issues can be confusing as you run your small business, you will learn about 3 common legal mistakes to avoid as you build your business. Lastly, you will be provided with an excellent list of online legal resources for your start-up, and you will be given the opportunity to create an outline of which legal structure you will use for your new business.

8. 8 - Technology and Apps for Business Overview

from Course 6: Technology and Apps for Business — Starting with a simple explanation of the Internet of things, you will learn about how technology is consistently and constantly evolving. Beginning with some general terms, you will learn key concepts in technology that relate to business development. As an entrepreneur in the 21st Century, it is your responsibility to stay aware of and become technologically literate. As such, you will learn a bit about emerging technologies such as how the "Blockchain" is changing money, business, and the economy today as well as in the near future.

9. 9 - Startup Budget and Operating Expenses

from Course 7: Business Finance — All new entrepreneurs make mistakes in the beginning of their careers as small business owners. You will learn 18 of the most costly mistakes so that you can avoid them. You will learn what is and how important a start up budget is, as well as what your operating expenses should be. Through focused case study work, you will figure out your start up costs for your new business and you will gain a comprehensive understanding of the differences between fixed and variable operating costs and why cutting costs is a bad idea for small business.

10. 10 - Accounting and Bookkeeping Basics

from Course 7: Business Finance — The terms "accounting" and "bookkeeping" are sometimes used interchangeably, as though they mean exactly the same thing. From the work in this module, you will learn that this is absolutely incorrect. You will learn that bookkeeping deals with the preservation and arrangement of records of a company, and accounting is the procedure to analyze and generate various reports of a company. Bookkeeping is the first step of maintaining a company, and accounting is the major step of a business which analyzes financial activities. Throughout this module you will learn about such terms as economic entity assumption, journal entries, general ledger entries, fiscal year, and the differences between Cash and Accrual accounting methods.

11. 11 - Sources of Funding

from Course 8: Raising Capital for Businesses — You will learn the types of financing available for your new business and the methods by which to attain them. You will learn the 8 sources of funding to raise long term capital and what each source means to you, the entrepreneur, in the short and long term. We will analyze the traditional approach for raising capital juxtaposed against case study work that involves raising money for a health facility. Lastly, you will learn how to raise $20,000 in initial financing.

12. 12 - Investment Business Plans, Financials, and Pitch Decks

from Course 8: Raising Capital for Businesses — This module begins by teaching you what the 3 most important things Investors look for in a winning business plan. You will learn HOW to write your business' executive summary, create a financial analysis and projection, and craft a pitch deck that will intrigue an investor to want more. You will be given examples of successful executive summaries that you can use as templates for your own plan, and we will show you what to avoid in your executive summary so as to make it interesting, readable and professional. You will learn the 7 things that investors look for in a financial plan and the 10 slides you must include in your pitch deck. Ultimately, you will create your own pitch deck and you will be given the opportunity several times throughout the module to start crafting your full business plan using LivePlan which is considered to be one of the best platforms upon which to build your business plan. As a bonus, we've included a one hour training session (a recorded webinar) at the end of the module to help you write your business plan.
